The tower renewal sites have undergone an extensive analysis of the waste that flows from the sites and how changes to the buildings can improve the amount of recycling that takes place.  The consultants report will detail how the tower pilot buildings can undergo comprehensive retrofits to help building owners, operators and tenants make tremendous gains in recycling.  In doing so, the cost for waste removal in the future will be much lower and when multiplied through many more tower buildings, the City of Toronto will be on its way to meeting its 70% waste diversion target.
