In December 2009, METRAC trained over 35 youth in the tools to conduct community safety audits along with over 25 adults at a subsequent training session.  Together, youth and adults will walk the Cougar Court area, on which one of the Tower Renewal pilot site buildings is situated. 

The group will develop recommendations and evaluate the level of safety for this area on a variety of risk factors.  The results will be shared with the property owners to discuss implementation.

The local Scarborough Village Community Crisis Response Committee, a part of the City of Toronto's Neighbourhood Action Team for this Priority Neighbourhood.  Local partners include: Action for Neighbourhood Change, Scarborough Village Neighbourhood Association (SVNA), & Youthlink.
